Australian-born Jedd Hughes found success early in life winning first place at the Port Pirie Country Music Festival at age eight and subsequently touring throughout Europe with the International Music for Youth group. After moving to Nashville, Hughes began playing guitar for Patty Loveless and eventually signed with MCA Records, who released his debut album Transcontinental in 2004. In addition to Loveless, Hughes has collaborated with many acclaimed artists including Rodney Crowell and Eric Church. Hughes also recently performed at the 2009 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival.
